HOW DOES THE ITERO SCANNER WORK?

The Itero scanner is a digital scanner that is able to capture 1000s of photos of a patient’s gums and teeth while utilizing current optical technology in just minutes. These photos are combined into an accurate 3d model.

To make the process simple and easy, the Itero scanner utilizes a small hand-held wand that is quick to use and painless. As the wand is waved over the patients’s teeth, the photos are captured and the 3d image is rendered.

IS THE ITERO SCANNER SAFE?

Itero scanners are very safe to operate. Patient’s do not experience any pain when being scanned. The Itero scanner does not use any radiation. So if a patient is pregnant, they need not worry about the safety of their baby while having their teeth scanned.
